Yes, that is a Ghost reference and no, we haven't reenacted that scene.
Emily and Griffin met in 2022 when Emily decided to take a pottery class. Little did she know that she was tapping into a life hubby (get it?).
We didn't start dating until the Spring of 2023. Griffin likes to say that Emily's Tiki Tonk themed birthday was their first date. He's not far off. Emily and Griffin got to know each other better that summer over botanic garden trips, renovation projects, and dinner dates.
By the time fall rolled around, they knew that they had something special going on. Emily continued to help Griffin with the renovation of the clay studio and building they now live in and Griffin took on the challenge of introducing Ziggy and Zeppelin.
The two have passed the normal couple tests like, going to Ikea without crying, going to Costco without buying everything, tackling TSA (not literally), a new job, and two moves. They have also been through some tougher times like the loss of a grandparent, a dog, and a brother.
Throughout it all, one thing has remained constant: the love and respect that Emily and Griffin have for each other.
Emily's engagement ring contains a stone from her mom's engagement ring and a stone from Griffin's mom's wedding ring. Griffin proposed in May of 2024 on top of the MCA in Denver with the ring they designed together.
We are so incredibly lucky to come from families that love us so much and to share our love with our friends. We can't wait to dance the night away with you in Phoenix!
